Karina Smigla-Bobinski loves to create interactive installations, works where the art emerges in the interaction with the participant. Smigla-Bobinski was born in 1967 in Szczecin/Poland and lives and works as a freelance artist in Munich and Berlin in Germany. She studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow/Poland and Munich/Germany, where she graduated in 2000 as a master student. Smigla-Bobinski works as an intermedia artist with analogue and digital media and makes installations, interventions, objects, videos, stage and online projects. Her works were shown in 29 countries on 5 continents, among others on FILE Electronic Language International Festival, Sao Paulo/Brasil (2011), LOOP – VideoArtBiennal, Barcelona/Spain (2009), Busan Biennale/S.Korea (2008) and Biennale di Venezia – Arsenale, Venice/Italy (2005).
