Walter the Wandering Wave was a concept developed by Shane Janssens and Adam Wood of ‘Belly Of Fire Publishing‘. The concept came from Shane’s passion for surfing and his travels around the globe in search of perfect waves. Seeing all these places and their diversity planted a seed. He had a vision to bring to life an Ocean story like no other ever seen. A story through the eyes of a little wave who wanders the world’s oceans looking for adventure; a story that would fire up the imaginations of millions of kids and roll them off to different parts of the world exploring new oceans, species and habitats.

It was important to launch Walter through traditional means like print media, but the really exciting opportunity was to take advantage of the latest technologies and launch an interactive and animated version of the book on iPad and iPhone. Shane and Adam have more books and apps on the way in the coming year, but with the brand quickly gaining momentum there is interest cultivating in various industries like TV and the big screen.
